Terms & Conditions

These EVOLVE Registration Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your registration for, and participation in, the EVOLVE Event to be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 (the “Event”). These Terms are an agreement between Cortex Applications, Inc. (“Cortex,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and you or the entity you represent (“you”). By completing registration on the EVOLVE registration page or participating in/attending the Event, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms.

Registration

To register for the Event, you must complete the Event registration process no later than September 24, 2026. Event registration may close earlier than September 24, 2026 as we may determine in our sole discretion. Event registration is subject to availability. You must be 18 years of age or older to register for and/or attend the Event.

Contact information

Please note that your contact details and other information we collect through the registration process and your attendance of the Event will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy (https://www.cortex.io/legal/privacy-policy).
Additionally, your information will be used to contact you with information related to the Event.

Conduct

By attending the Event you agree at all times to (a) not engage in disruptive behavior or otherwise interfere with the Event or other participants’ enjoyment of the Event, (b) conduct yourself in a manner that promotes a safe and supportive learning environment; and (c) comply with all applicable laws. If Cortex believes that you will not comply with the above, then Cortex may deny you entry or require that you leave the Event and you shall not receive a refund of any fees paid, if applicable. Should you witness detrimental actions of other Event participants or have reason to believe such actions may occur, you shall promptly inform an EVOLVE staff member. If we believe you breached this Code of Conduct, we may prohibit you from attending future Cortex events and programs.

Event cancellation

The Event is subject to change and Cortex may cancel the Event and may deny or cancel a registration for the Event at any time, at its sole discretion. Cortex disclaims any and all liability for any damages resulting from such cancellation.

Refunds

If you have registered for EVOLVE and can no longer attend, you may modify or cancel your
registration by emailing info@evolve.cortex.io.

The refund policy is:
Cancellation on or before August 24, 2026: Full refund of registration fee
Cancellation after August 24, 2026: 50% refund of registration fee

Name changes to existing registrations can be made without incurring additional fees.

If you cancel or change your registration in accordance with these terms and are allowed a refund, Cortex will refund any applicable fees within 60 days after receipt of the cancellation or change notice. Refunds are sent using the same payment method you used during registration. Credit card refunds must be issued to the original credit card.

Company branding and logo usage

By registering, you grant Cortex a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to use your company’s name, trademarks, and logos on the Event website and promotional materials to identify you as an attendee. You represent that you have the authority to grant this use. If you do not wish for your logo to be used, please notify us at info@evolve.cortex.io at least 14 days prior to the Event.

Recording and your materials

In consideration of the opportunity to participate in the Event, you hereby grant Cortex, its affiliates, agents, employees, independent contractors and assigns an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free right and license to edit, publish, reproduce, distribute or translate, for any purpose, all or any part of (a) any and all photographs, audio and video recordings of you and/or your voice or likeness in connection with the Event, including the right to use your name, likeness and biographical information, and (b) all materials submitted or presented by you in connection with the Event (collectively, “Materials”). You represent and warrant that (a) your Materials are true and accurate to the best of your knowledge, (b) you have the necessary rights and permissions to grant the license in this Section 6, and (c) your Materials do not violate or infringe any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights of any person or entity. You hereby consent to Cortex’s use of the Materials without compensation or additional consents from you (unless required by law). Additionally, Cortex may restrict you from taking any photographs, audio and video recordings while attending the Event.

Release of claims

You (for yourself and anyone who may make a claim on your behalf) hereby release Cortex and its affiliates and their respective directors, representatives, agents, officers, employees, contractors, successors and assigns, from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, losses, suits, damages, debts, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs) (together, “Losses”) that you may have now or in the future associated in any way with the Event or Materials.

Assumption of risk

You acknowledge that your attendance and participation in the Event is on a voluntary basis. You hereby assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with attending and participating in the Event to the fullest extent permitted under law. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. Although Cortex has instituted reasonable practices in an attempt to lessen or reduce the spread of COVID-19, Cortex cannot guarantee that you will never get exposed to the virus or get sick from it. By attending a Cortex event, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Limitation liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL (a) CORTEX BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR OTHER SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, OR RELIANCE DAMAGES OR (b) THE LIABILITY OF CORTEX FOR DIRECT DAMAGES UNDER THESE TERMS EXCEED $200.

Indemnification

You shall defend, indemnify and hold harmless Cortex, its affiliates, and their respective directors, representatives, agents, officers, employees, contractors, successors and assigns, from and against any Losses arising out of or related to your attendance, participation or conduct at the Event.

Sanctions

You represent and warrant that you are not subject to sanctions or otherwise designated on any list of prohibited, restricted, or excluded parties or owned or controlled by such a party, including but not limited to the lists maintained by the United Nations Security Council, the US Government, the European Union or its member states, or other government authority.

Choice of law and venue

These Terms will be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without reference to its choice of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York City, New York, USA, and you expressly consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.

Amendment of terms

For the avoidance of doubt, these Terms supersede any previous terms in connection with the Event. Cortex may modify these Terms at any time by providing notice to you or by posting a revised version on the EVOLVE registration website. By participating in the Event, you agree to the current version of these Terms posted on that website.
